Our Instructors

Marie Sladen

Our NVQ course head tutor and riding instructor Marie Sladen has been at the centre for over 2 years, qualified at Nottingham Trent University and also competes her own horses "Moonlight" and "Dingbat" in dressage and show jumping; she regularly competes to a very high level.

Marie herself is a very caring and understanding person and is available for lessons weekday evenings and Saturdays.

Aaron Murphy

Aaron is our latest recruit as a Stubbings Court Trainee.

Before starting the course Aaron has a year at a riding school performing voluntary duties. Has worked at John Dunlop's racing yard parcipating in a 9 week course at the British Racing School at Newmarket.

Aarons future after completion of his training course he wants to complete his NVQ 3 and gain more experience in equine industry.

 

Lucy Victoria Rostance

Lucy has been with the School for 6 months as an instructor, but has been riding since she was three years old.

She qualified at Nottingham Trent University and has worked in a treking centre for 12 years before joining the team here.

In addition to being an instructor, Lucy runs our Pony club at the centre.

Emma Warr

Emma has been at our centre for a month now and has just been accepted to start her NVQ level 1.

Emma's involvement with horses spans the last 4 years.

She is hoping to complete her NVQ levels 1 - 3 here.

Katie Luczko

Katie has been at our centre for the past month. She has her NVQ level 2 and is hoping to shortly start her NVQ level 3 accreditation at our centre.

Katie has previously worked at an eventing yard for the past 2 years and prevoius to that a hunting yard.

Her aim now is to pass the NVQ level 3.

 

 

Kay Minor

Kay has been at the centre for 2 months on a 2 year course as a Stubbin Court Training apprentice.

Kay is First Aid qualified and her activities outside the centre include a Brown Owl, Girl Guide Guider, Scout Leader, Rainbow and Cubs.

She has also undertaken training with the Royal Navy and Marines.

Kay is special needs trained.

Moira Armstrong

Moira has been at the centre for a year.

She is an excellent instructor for the advanced rider, Teaching dressage, flat work and showjumping.
