All the horses prior to joining the riding centre have to be assessed before they are brought in to work.
They are checked by the vet (David Sparks of the Minster Vetinary Practice, Southwell, Notts).
Their backs are checked by Gerad Murtagh ( Tel 07813 041014 ) who is a specialist equine therapist.
Then they are fitted with a correct-fitting saddle by Judith Richardson who is a qualified saddle and bridle fitter as well as an instructor for ourselves and has worked for at the centre for the past 4 years. She checks all our tack on a monthly basis and all our horses are fitted with new Wintec saddles.
Our horses are visited weekly by our Farrier Graham Smith of Wymeswold, Leicestershire who is a very patient and caring Farrier.
All our horses are wormed and vaccinated on a regular basis on a rota with our vet. Our horses have all different feeding regimes, and we use blue chip feed and they are also fed on haylege and they are kept in overnight in winter.
Ever year Lorraine buys every horse a brand new turnout and stable rug.
